Fagus Sylvatica

Unique patterning and spontaneous figuring, called ‘spalting’, is the result of a natural accruing process caused by a harmless fungus. Once the timber is fully seasoned the figuring is cured into the timber, producing striking zonal black lines, marbling and contrasting hues. Beech - Fagus Sylvatica, is known to many as the Queen of British trees, with its majestic canopy, providing sanctuary to diverse and rare species.

English Ash is one of the most versitile and resilent of the hardwood family. Choose from a selection of traditional "white" Ash or the more unique grains of "olive" ash.

Vivid colour contrast shifting from rich red and orange of the heartwood to pale cream of the sapwood. A timber that is believed to draw in toxins from its environment and change colour with time. Yew is known to be one of the longestlived native species in Europe, recognised for its durability and purifying mythology.

Oak produces one of the hardest and most durable timbers on the planet, characterised by its dense grain structure and rot resistant properties. Known to support more natural wildlife than any other UK native tree. The mighty English Oak, is considered to be the King of the woods, known for its strength, endurance and longevity.
